Let Yoga for Performers enrich
your life and your performance

Every Wednesday at 7pm

Yoga for Performers teaches a yoga and qigong-based life-system of breath work, energy practices and relaxation techniques for performers that helps to build flexibility, focus, stamina, coordination, balance and a healthy sense of self. Developing an awareness and control of the breath is the basic foundation to obtaining these attributes.

Yoga is a union of body, mind and spirit through traditional physical and mental exercises and disciplines.

Qigong (“chee gong”) is an ancient Chinese system of cultivating internal energy for health maintenance, healing and increased vitality.

Who would benefit: Professional and non-professional singers, actors, speakers, instrumentalists, dancers, or anyone interested in learning about health and physical well-being for performance enhancement through the ancient arts of yoga and qigong.
When: Every Wednesday at 7-8:30pm
Where: Ford Center for Arts and Learning on the Broadway (people mover) side of the Detroit Opera House, 1526 Broadway, Detroit 48226.
What to wear: Loose fitting, comfortable clothes for movement and stretching.
What to bring: Yoga mat, towel, water bottle.
Fee: $10 per session (cash or check).
