What do I do or whom should I contact if I am unable to attend a class?
If you are unable to attend a class, we suggest that you ask a family member or friend to enjoy your place in the class for that time. For Opera Camp/Workshop and Operetta Workshop participants, please contact the instructor or the Learning at the Opera House Representative at 313-237-3419.

Am I guaranteed the instructor listed?
No. Instructors are subject to change.

Do I have to enroll ahead of time or do you take walk-ins?
We welcome walk-ins to any non-audition class (Opera Camp, for instance, requires an audition) provided the class is not filled. We can enroll you and accept payment at the beginning of the class by cash, check, or credit card.

What is a voice master class?
A voice master class is an intense coaching session in the presence of other student singers. An experienced artist/teacher listens to and observes singers and makes suggestions for improving and/or enhancing their performance, and offers voice troubleshooting advice. Attendees may choose to participate or just observe. Teachers also learn and benefit from these sessions.

Can you mail me a catalog or brochure?
We no longer print the brochure. Our catalog is now listed online only. However, we will happily mail, email or fax to you information on individual classes. Call the LATOH hotline at (313) 237-3270 or email us with your request.

We suggest the new Detroit Opera House Parking Center; entrances on Brush and John R. Map and directions here.
